What were the laboratory's first scientific seminars in 2024 about?

We are talking about the traditional online scientific seminars of the laboratory, which took place in early 2024.

The first research seminar after the New Year holidays was held on February 29. It was devoted to discussing and analyzing the factors of attracting non-professional investors to participate in schemes with the characteristics of a financial pyramid in the digital environment. The report entitled "Financial Pyramid Simulator: Choosing tips" was presented by Professor Marina V. Ryzhkova of Tomsk State University and Elmira R. Kashapova, senior lecturer at Tomsk Polytechnic University.
The next seminar on experimental economics was held on March 28. Ekaterina Sinyakova, a student at Moscow State University, made her report "Side effects of feedback when performing unrelated tasks: an experimental study". She spoke about a study comparing the subjects' stated confidence in performing unrelated tasks, as well as studying how feedback affects their efforts and willingness to compete.
