The results of the Third Pacific School-Conference are summarised
The III International Pacific School-Conference on Experimental Economics was held on 19-27 September in Vladivostok at the Far Eastern Federal University.
The III Pacific Summer School on Experimental Economics was organised as part of the Mirror Laboratories project in cooperation with the Research Laboratory of Modelling of Socio-Economic Processes at FEFU SEM. The programme of the school includes open lectures on methods and problem statements of economic experiments with broadcasting and zoom recordings, work of participants on original research projects with consultations of the summer school teachers, as well as an international scientific conference in a mixed format with presentations by teachers and participants of the school, invited researchers and foreign colleagues.
This year the participants of the school were three employees of the laboratory of the National Research University Higher School of Economics (A. V. Belyanin, T. L. Zhuravleva, G. P. Kiryukhov), two employees of the Research Laboratory of Modelling of Socio-Economic Processes of the FEFU School of Economics (A. A. Volkov, A. Y. Filatov) and over 40 teachers, postgraduates and students from Moscow, Vladivostok, Kazan, Tomsk, Omsk, St. Petersburg. Their efforts made the school as informative as always: all its participants not only discussed 17 papers presented at the conference, but also developed 8 original scientific projects directly during the school.
The participants noted the high level of scientific discussion and the richness of comments received from both experts and each other. The organisers were particularly pleased with the increase in the quality of reports and studies presented by both experienced and young researchers, as well as the creative and interested approach of all students to work at the lectures, the conference and in their own research projects.
Boat trips to Askold and Putyatin islands, a hiking trip to Cape Tobizina, and a beautiful excursion around Vladivostok will remain in the memory of the school participants for a long time, but the most important thing is a meeting with fellow researchers, who traditionally come to Vladivostok in the second half of September.
See you next year!
