HSE Mirror Laboratories
Project topic: "Institutions and Preferences in Economic Behavior"
A joint project of the HSE International Laboratory of Experimental and Behavioral Economics and the FEFU Socio-Economic Process Modeling Laboratory won the HSE Mirror Laboratories competition in June 2020.
Project Description
The research of the HSE International Laboratory of Experimental and Behavioral Economics and the FEFU Research Laboratory for Modeling Socio-Economic Processes is devoted to the analysis of the behavior of people in different regions of Russia, taking these features into account when making economic decisions, as well as identifying the relationship of differences in the behavior of residents of different regions with the economic and political institutions operating there. The research is supposed to be based on the methods of experimental economics, a relatively young field of science that combines the methodological principles of economic theory and the achievements of modern cognitive and social psychology, which allows us to open up new perspectives for the study of human behavior and explain such phenomena that seem paradoxical from the point of view of traditional economics.
