"Games in Experiments"

Lecture by Dr. Heike Hennig-Schmidt, Chief Researcher of the International Laboratory for Experimental and Behavioral Economics

"Games in Experiments"

The subject of the talk was games that are the main tools in experimental and behavioral economics to study social preferences, trust, reciprocity and cooperation like the Dictator, Ultimatum, Trust, Public good, and Prisoner Dilemma games. Dr. Heike Hennig-Schmidt also touched the goals experimental games are directed to contribute, as for instance, testing theories, studying „Real world“ problems, exploring behavior to establish behavioral regularities, and clarifying open questions from the literature. Extensions of the original designs were also presended as a result of the scientist's own research, like the impact of culture and presentation effects on behavior.
